Baker Rifles, Bayonets, and Bastards: You Need to Read the Richard Sharpe Series

I want to give you a quick update on Akon’s Mission and recommend a fantastic series of historical adventures.

Akon’s Mission has three days left on Kindle Scout, and as of right now it is in the Hot & Trending category. This is great news! We should know within a week whether it will be published by Amazon, and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear from them.

Recommendation: The Richard Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell

If you are looking for a fantastic historical adventure series, the Sharpe books by Bernard Cornwell are the best I’ve read. The first book in the series is Sharpe’s Tiger, which takes place in 1799 and tracks Private Richard Sharpe as he begins his British military career fighting France’s allies in India. From there, the books take him to England, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, and France with a few naval adventures thrown in as well.

There are 24 books in the series, so if you get hooked on them like I did you have a ton of great entertainment ahead of you. I’ve gone through them multiple times, and each time I get sucked into the brutal battle scenes and hilarious surliness of Richard Sharpe. I hope you enjoy the stories as much as I do. And if you want to discuss casting for the characters, I’d love to.

Until next time,
Jeremy
