Welcome to the first newsletter of The Badass Club. I really appreciate the interest you’ve shown in my work, and you are now one of the first members of this exclusive group.

I come across a lot of badass things while researching my projects and I’d love to share them with you. Nothing crazy, I’ll send you an email once a week or so with badass inspiration and information.

There will be quotations, workout tips, vital tools, and anything else that will help you maximize your badassery. You of course also have access to The Badass Club page with free stuff like short stories, novel excerpts, and Woodshed Wallpapers.

If there is anything badass you’d like to know more about, let me know.

On to the badass!

Momentum: http://momentumdash.com/

  • “Momentum is a personal dashboard designed to eliminate distraction and provide inspiration, focus, and productivity.”
  • I use this with Chrome. Every day it asks “What is your focus today?” Your answer shows up on every new tab along with an amazing daily photo and motivational quotation.
  • The intent is to keep you from wandering into the Internet when you should be getting stuff done, and it works.

The Fighter Pullup Program: http://www.strongfirst.com/the-fighter-pullup-program-revisited/

  • Pullups are hard. This program is a simple, friendly way to increase your pullups no matter how many you can do.
  • It was designed by  , a brilliant fitness instructor from the former Soviet Union who is responsible for popularizing kettlebells in the US. He’s a badass.

The Tim Ferriss Experiment: http://fourhourworkweek.com/tv/

  • “You don’t need to be superhuman to get superhuman results. You just need a better toolkit.”
  • Pretty much everything Tim does is badass. His podcast is a master class in deconstructing and applying excellence.
  • The Tim Ferriss Experiment is 13 half-hour episodes available on iTunes for $14.99.
  • In each episode, Tim partners with the world’s best and most unorthodox teachers to learn a new skill, such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, poker, a foreign language, surfing, and Parkour, in just 5 days.
  • He isn’t always successful. When he is, he shows you how to replicate his results.

How’s that for the first Badass Club newsletter? Let me know in the comments and let’s get a badass conversation going.

Until next time,
Jeremy
